Michael Miyom, himself one of the "Lost Boys,"
has been engaged to act as the Director of
Gumriak.  Michael coordinates all activities in
southern Sudan.  Both Michael and James have
been trained in orphanage operations and the
special care required of these children.
Simon Yar Piot, a licensed teacher,  is the Headmaster of the
school. Gumriak is fortunate to have additional teachers
including Jacob Chan and Abraham Gueneg who have
acquired their teaching certificates.  Sarah Achol provides
management skills in addition to her teaching duties.
Gumriak also employs two guards and three cooks.  Several
committed community volunteers work to assure Gumriak's
success .

"I was so pleased when I returned to Gumriak and had the
opportunity to meet with the children.  They are happy.  The
local authorities have high praise for our project;  the local
community is supportive, the staff dedicated.  It is a dream
come true."                         James Manyror, August 2009
